In the interests of maintaining the integrity of your website we recommend that you:

do not use the same passwords for:

  • logging into your Hosting Plan Control Panel,
  • accessing the server by FTP,
  • reading your Email,
  • logging into your Wynchcote Website to add and edit website content;

do not share your username and password for any of these resources with anyone;

do log into your Hosting Plan Control Panel and change your FTP password after opening your hosting account;

do change all your passwords from time to time;

do regularly maintain and backup your website's database and keep copies off-web of any uploaded files (use FTP);

do not save your FTP login credentials in your FTP uploader.

You can reduce potential hassle following hacker attack by regularly backing up your website.

Please note that under Wynchcote's Terms of Service customers accept full responsibility for maintaining backups of files and data stored on Wynchcote's servers.
