Ken Edwards

ken.jpg Ken would like to be thought of as an educator and enabler.

Prior to establishing Wynchcote Limited he spent more than 30 years helping and empowering others.

Ken began his career in the finance sector, where he spent much of his time helping to develop the trade union movement. He then travelled independently around Europe and took himself off to study Business and Marketing at university.

He subsequently developed his managerial skills in the retail sector and then fell in love with teaching. He discovered a degree of autonomy in the classroom which he enjoyed, and it is here that he developed his taste for entrepreneurship.

Ken developed and implemented a number of enterprise programmes for high school students. It was during this time that he experienced first hand the truly empowering and motivating nature of web magazines (or webmags).

Ken launched Wynchcote several years ago whilst working full-time as a teacher. Why? To provide value for money easy to manage websites for use by his students, using the open source CMS or 'content management system' - Joomla!

Ken is now an experienced designer of dynamic websites built on the Joomla! platform.

He says of himself:

"My goal is to empower others through supporting their application and use of open source web technologies - including Joomla!

I am especially keen to support community groups, including social enterprises, to enable them to better connect with their members and the wider community."
